Bernal Middle School Teacher Named Northside ISD Educator of the Year

Bernal Middle School’s Kasey Thompson was recently named a 2025 Northside ISD Educator of the Year, alongside two fellow NISD teachers.

Each year, NISD recognizes educators who go above and beyond to improve the lives of their students. Thompson, a Gifted and Talented teacher, was honored at the district’s “Simply the Best” celebration, receiving a personalized plaque and a $500 cash prize.

The district also recognized three First-Year Educators of the Year.
